Monofilament Wigs
Monofilament wigs are named such because each hair strand is attached to the base material individually, though a process of hand-knotting them.
The base material is a thin, transparent, gauzelike material designed to be non-itchy to those with sensitive scalps.
With a monofilament wig, the strands have more flexibility and so better styles can be created. The wig is also more breathable than conventional wigs which reduces heat and moisture build-up and will ensure that the wig is more comfortable to wear.
Monofilament wigs also look more natural to the observer. The base is transparent, meaning the color of your own scalp shows through and it becomes less obvious that a wig is being worn.
